Embracing Sustainability: The AVK Middle East Water Bottle Initiative

As part of our initiative highlighting our commitment on promoting sustainability and the well-being of communities, we are proud to participate in the AVK employee water bottle campaign. We switched from plastic water bottles to eco-friendly alternatives, ensuring that we no longer need to rely on single-use plastic bottles. With this initiative, we expect to reduce the use of approximately 12,980 plastic bottles every month in our offices. This is an exciting step in our commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment.
The AVK campaign for eco-friendly water bottles shows that we are serious about water conservation and taking responsibility for the environment. By using our reusable water bottles instead of disposable plastic ones, we are taking a meaningful step towards reducing our environmental impact. Carrying our AVK water bottle is a daily reminder of the value of every drop and the importance of preserving this invaluable resource for future generations.
To replace these single-use plastic bottles, we have distributed eco-friendly reusable one-litre water bottles to all our employees. These bottles can be refilled at water dispensers conveniently located throughout our company. The response from our employees has been overwhelmingly positive, as they no longer have to frequently visit the canteen for small plastic bottles. Additionally, the eco-friendly bottles keep the water cool, which is highly appreciated in this part of the world where temperatures often exceed 40 degrees Celsius.
This initiative not only contributes to sustainability, but it also generates a substantial saving of approximately 22,774 SR per year. The cost of water in dispensers is more economical than purchasing single-use plastic bottles. Our learning is that it does not always cost more to become sustainable.
